Missing Pan Am plane found after 74 years | 7NEWS

The wreckage of Pan Am Flight 256, missing for 74 years, has been discovered 2,000 feet below the surface off the coast of Puerto Rico. The plane crashed on 11 April 1952 after losing two engines shortly after departing San Juan, killing 52 of the 69 people on board. The discovery was made by a Discovery Channel team using an advanced autonomous underwater drone, revealing the fuselage and iconic Pan Am logo of the Clipper Endeavour, and serving as a reminder of the tragedy that led to mandatory pre-flight safety briefings.
