Michigan church shooting and blaze leave at least two dead | ABC NEWS
At least two people have been killed and others injured in a mass shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan.
Grand Blanc Township police say the gunman rammed a vehicle through the church’s front door, opened fire on parishioners and set fire to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The town’s police chief William Renye has identified the shooter as 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, from neighbouring Burton.
The attack came a day after the Mormon church’s head Russell Nelson died at 101, but no link has been established between the two events.
US President Donald Trump has condemned the shooting and labelled it an attack on Christians.
