Man charged after allegedly assaulting old man with cricket bat
A 30-year-old man will face court today charged with assaulting a 75-year-old pensioner with a cricket bat during a confrontation over an alleged charity bin theft.
Police say the incident unfolded in Melbourne’s southeast around 6pm last night when the younger man was caught stealing from a charity bin.
