‘Makes it dangerous’: DSA gives ‘downwardly mobile’ children a community to coalesce around
News24 host James Morrow says the Democratic Socialists of America give “downwardly mobile” children of the middle and upper class a community to “coalesce” around.
“They’ve gone and gotten all their graduate degrees, and they’re still working at Starbucks, and things haven’t worked out for them,” Mr Morrow told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
“They’re really, really angry.
“This DSA thing, more than the politics, is giving them a kind of community to coalesce around, and that’s what…makes them attractive to a lot of people that are going into it, but it’s also what makes it really dangerous.”
