‘Lowered expectations’: Albanese needs a ‘smooth meeting’ with Trump

McKell Institute CEO Ed Cavanough is confident the meeting between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and United States President Donald Trump will go well.

“They have lowered these expectations,” Mr Cavanough told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“All he needs to do is basically have a smooth meeting tomorrow, and that will be seen as a triumph.

“I think we’re going to see an amicable, friendly conversation, and that’s going to be a massive win for the prime minister.”
