A 70-year-old pedestrian is in critical condition at St George Hospital after being struck by a ute at the intersection of Forest Road and Queen Victoria Street in Bexley. The Lebanese expat, who had recently fled his country’s ongoing war, was on his way to a family lunch when he suffered serious head injuries. The 23-year-old driver was taken by police for mandatory testing.
