Lebanon’s President, Joseph Aoun, has met with US leader Donald Trump in Washington DC – the first Lebanese head of state to visit the White House since 2009.

Mr Aoun seeking support to secure Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon, and help Lebanon’s army to disarm the powerful militant group Hezbollah
And, angry exchanges in the US Congress as the Trump Administration appealed for tens of billions of dollars more to fund the war in Iran.
