Laos hostel set to reopen one year after methanol deaths | ABC NEWS
The Laos hostel where six people — including two young Australians — are believed to have been fatally poisoned with methanol a year ago is set to reopen.
At least 11 people visiting the backpacker town Vang Vieng were reportedly hospitalised in November last year after drinking contaminated alcohol.
Among them were Australians Holly Morton-Bowles and Bianca Jones, both 19, who died after being transferred to a hospital in Thailand.
