Labor ‘takes a hammer’ to the productive aspects of Australia’s economy

Sky News host James Morrow discusses Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ recent 2026 federal budget.

“Jim Chalmers there is just so disingenuous,” Mr Morrow told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.

“This whole idea of ‘we’ve cut taxes, no, we’ve handed you back $250 dollars in a year’, which is nothing, and that’s all going to be eaten up by inflation.

“They are lying, and they are just taking an absolute hammer to what productive bits of the economy we have left.”
