Labor renewable energy plan ‘unsustainable’ for data centres

Environment Editor at The Australian, Graham Lloyd, says Australia needs to “grapple” with future AI data centres needing huge amounts of electricity.

“These data centres use the equivalent electricity of small cities, and we simply do not have the excess capacity,” Mr Llyod told Sky News Host Sharri Markson.

“This is the sort of decisions that Australia really has to grapple with.”
