Kmart’s Anko camera glasses, retailing for $89, have prompted the federal government to make an urgent request to the privacy watchdog amid concerns over covert spying, particularly targeting women and children. Attorney-General Michelle Rowland has written to the Privacy Commissioner seeking urgent consideration of the technology. The Anko glasses are a budget alternative to Meta’s AI glasses, which are valued at over $330.
