‘Kiss my ass’: Ontario premier Doug Ford responds to Trump insult
Ontario’s premier Doug Ford has told US President Donald Trump to “kiss my ass” as trade negotiations break down between the US and Canada.
This comes after the failed negotiations triggered new tariffs on Canadian exports to the US. In response, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Canada will match the US tariffs “dollar for dollar”.
Trump described Ford on TruthSocial as “the less charismatic, intelligent, and overall unimpressive brother” of late Toronto mayor Rob Ford, while accusing Canada of taking advantage of the US.
