Three alleged members of a gang using a network of “kill cars” for contract criminal activity have been arrested in dramatic raids in southwest Sydney.
Police pounced on the trio – alleged to be part of a gang known as G7 – on Thursday morning.
It is alleged the G7 crew is one of several groups of contract criminals using the vehicles.
“The use of kill cars has emerged as a common denominator in serious and violent crimes linked to organised crime – including murders, kidnappings, and other high-risk offences,” Organised Crime Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Peter Faux said.
“These vehicles aren’t just transport; they’re tools of violence. Without them, offenders lose mobility, anonymity, and the ability to commit serious offences.
“We’ve had enormous success targeting organised crime by following the money. Now, we’re following the cars, and it’s proving just as effective.”
