‘Just not good enough’: Barnaby Joyce fires up over Labor’s climate obsession
One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce explains how Australia is not fulfilling its potential given its abundant resources.
“[Australia is a] continent with oil, gas, cattle, coal, bauxite, gold, the whole lot, and uranium,” Mr Joyce told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve got this debt that is growing and our GDP per person is falling, so it’s just not good enough.
“We’re never going to change the climate, but we have done an exceptional job at destroying people’s standard of living.
“We just want to make sure we make as much money as we can because as we make money your standard of living goes up. Then we can pay for the hospitals, we can pay for all the things you want.”
