Jim Chalmers expected to ‘get some of his way’ on tax reform in the budget

“It seems Treasurer Jim Chalmers is expected in last-minute budget meetings this week to get some of his way and to get some tax reform up,” he said.
“So, the speculation is there will be a proposal around changes to negative gearing and ending it for existing properties as opposed to new builds.
“But my understanding is this will be grandfathered.”
