Jaimee Rogers blasts sex discrimination commissioner over ‘male pregnancy’ response

Sky News host Jaimee Rogers blasts Australia’s Sex Discrimination Commissioner Dr Anna Cody, after she failed to say whether a biological male can become pregnant.

“Australians are being told that under certain legal frameworks, a transgender woman, so a biological man, could claim protections relating to pregnancy,” Ms Rogers said.

“A biological male cannot become pregnant. But we’re simultaneously expected to treat pregnancy as though it could apply in cases where biology makes that impossible.

“To stay on track, we must accept reality, even when legislation, ideology, or social pressure tells us otherwise. We must have the courage to acknowledge facts, even when they are unpopular.

​”And to follow evidence, even when it challenges deeply held beliefs.

​“If we lose that, we lose more than common sense.”
