‘It’s a public safety issue’: Tobacco excise must be cut to crush organised crime gangs

​Adoni Media’s Leisa Goddard says illicit tobacco trade is more of a public safety issue than a public health issue.

​“Ask the family of the 27-year-old woman who lost her life,” Mr Goddard told News24 host Paul Murray.

​“When it is affecting people in the street, in the economy, they do care.”
