Israeli national security minister rejects draft US-Gaza peace deal
Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has rejected a draft US peace agreement for Gaza.
The proposed deal, intended as the next phase of the ceasefire, focuses on the disarmament of Hamas and was announced earlier this week.
US President Donald Trump described the agreement as ‘historic,’ stating that Israel was satisfied with the terms.
The Israeli government has not yet issued an official response.
Hamas has indicated its willingness to disarm, contingent upon Israel ending hostilities and withdrawing from Gaza.
