Israeli families remember loved ones killed at the Nova music festival, two years after Hamas’ attack.
Commemorating the tragedy, the site filled up from sunrise with visitors, who walked quietly among the portraits of those killed on the site.
Orit Baron’s daughter Yuval and her fiancé Moshe Shuva were among the victims. She arranged fresh flowers beside their pictures. Baron said the couple had planned to marry on Valentine’s Day this year — and were buried side by side after their bodies were found together.
Oren Zonensteinn, uncle of another victim, Alon Werber, said he wants the war in Gaza, started by Israel, to wipe out Hamas following that attack, to stop so that hostages taken on October 7, 2023 could also return.
