Israel intensifies strikes in southern Lebanon

More than 13 people have been killed in southern Lebanon as Israel intensifies strikes in its self-declared “security zone”.
The Israeli military has vowed to continue targeting Hezbollah, saying the latest wave of attacks were in retaliation to explosive drones launched towards its occupying forces.
Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun has labelled it a “dangerous escalation” which could jeopardise a US-brokered ceasefire that has been in place since June.
