Iran-linked threat raises major questions over whether Britain can protect US military bases

News24 host James Morrow questions whether the UK remains a reliable forward base for American military operations after a threat linked to Iran prompted the removal of B-1 bombers from a British air base.

“The removal of about a dozen B -1 bombers from that military base in the UK linked to a threat from Iran,” Mr Morrow said.

“Can the US still trust the UK as a forward base for its operations when there seems to be so much jihadist and Iranian activity in that country.

“Also, what about the state of American air bases within the continental United States itself?”
