Inside a Gaza field hospital through the eyes on an Australian nurse
This week, local health officials in Gaza have warned the entire enclave’s hospital network is days away from shutting down, because of fuel and medical supply shortages.
One of the only facilities still fully functioning is the Red Cross field hospital in southern Gaza.
Medics there, say the 60-bed facility is operating above capacity.
Among the few international staff still on the ground is one Australian nurse – on his fourth mission to Gaza after a decade in conflict zones from South Sudan to Syria.
He’s been documenting his work and daily life on the ground, sharing his experiences with SBS.
