Inquest into jumping castle tragedy continues
A coronial inquest in Devonport is examining the December 2021 Hillcrest jumping castle tragedy that killed six children and injured three others. The hearing has focused on Tasmania’s health system response, with North West Hospital’s executive general and forensic pathologist providing evidence about treatment decisions and causes of death after the jumping castle was launched 16m into the air by a freak weather event.
