‘I’m disappointed’: Hegseth addresses ‘woke’ military leaders

Former US Navy rear admiral Mark Montgomery is “disappointed” as hundreds of US generals and admirals have been lectured by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth for being the “woke department.”

“A very backslapping attack on women in combat, he cloaked misogyny in a discussion of meritocracy,” Mr Montgomery told Sky News Australia.

“That’s a real lost opportunity; you could of led instead you derided … no value added.”
