IDF clears personnel over strike on Australian aid worker | Investigation into killing of Hind Rajab
Israel’s Ambassador to Australia has been hauled in to Parliament House for a dressing down, following a report exonerating the Israeli Defence Forces over the killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom. He has refused to issue an apology on behalf of Israel for the drone strike, saying it was a mistake but apologising to the family would mean accepting liability.
The Zomi Frankcom case was one of several incidents being reviewed by the Israeli military. It says it will proceed with investigations into two other high-profile cases: the death of five-year-old Hind Rajab in 2024 and the killing of 15 emergency and aid workers in 2025. Relatives, though, say they do not trust the Israeli military. And a warning, the following report contains distressing material.
