‘Ideological sabotage’: Senator pushes to lift nuclear energy ban

Liberal Senator Jane Hume introduces a private member’s bill to lift the nuclear energy moratorium.

“If we’re serious about a low emissions future, lifting the moratorium on clean nuclear energy is the first step,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia.

“It’s just madness that Australia has decided to shun this technology, when we have 30 percent of the world’s uranium.

“That’s just ideological sabotage.”
