How workers and businesses are using AI | The Business | ABC NEWS

Artificial intelligence is being adopted by a growing number of businesses in Australia, but there is a divide across different sectors. Mandala managing partner, Amit Singh, says about three in five professional and technical workers are using artificial intelligence compared to one in five of all workers. He says when looking at AI use by occupation, trades, community and service sectors are under represented. Amit Singh says that looking at how ASX 200 companies invest in AI reveals they’re using artificial intelligence to improve their internal workflows and processes. And he says that “if the AI revolution in a technical sense stopped tomorrow, there would still be 10 years worth of new innovations and new work.” But Mr Singh says workers will need to learn how to use AI in a way which communicates their underlying accountability for that work. His comment follows the recent example of Deloitte, which produced a report with AI-related errors for the Australian Government.
