CCTV footage from Kalgoorlie Health Campus captured security guards restraining a patient by the throat and slamming him onto a couch on May 31. The two security guards from contractor Advanced Protection Plus have been stood down and banned from working at WA hospitals, while WA police investigate whether criminal charges should be laid. The incident occurred after healthcare staff called a code black due to an immediate risk to safety. Sam Neill, the 78-year-old New Zealand-born actor renowned for his role in Jurassic Park, has died unexpectedly at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital.
