Historic cross-country journey recreated for a good cause | ABC NEWS
A re-enactment of the first commercial return trip between Adelaide and Darwin has begun as part of South Australia’s History Festival.
100 years ago, Captain Edward Bagot took 12 passengers on the return trip from Adelaide to Darwin in two 7-seater Studebaker cars.
South Australian amateur filmmaker Clarence Judd documented the trip, and now Mr Judd’s great grandchild, Brenton Whittenbury, is participating in the event.
