High-profile surgeon charged with rape | 7NEWS
Dr Reza Adib, a Brisbane-based weight loss surgeon and long-term partner of former Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, has been charged with six offences including three counts of rape, two counts of deprivation of liberty, and one count of sexual assault. The alleged incidents involve a woman in her 30s and are said to have occurred at his Burleigh apartment on 30 March this year. Dr Adib, 65, was granted police bail and is scheduled to appear at Southport Magistrates Court in a fortnight.
