Guilty plea over Northland shopping centre rampage | 7NEWS

A 28-year-old man, Giriwa May, pleaded guilty after driving a stolen LandCruiser through Northland shopping centre at speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour. Security camera footage shows May ramming an unmarked police car four times before smashing through the centre’s doors and speeding past shoppers and a children’s play area. Despite the rampage, no one was injured, and May has been in custody since his arrest in June last year, with his next court appearance scheduled for 28 August.
