‘Growth in division’: Alarm sounds over hatred fuelling anti-Hanson protests

Liberal Waverley Councillor Michelle Stephenson warns social media is fuelling an alarming rise in division and hatred among young Australians amid increasingly hostile protests targeting One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson.

“I’m worried, I’m really worried if this is what we’re seeing,” Ms Stephenson told News24 host James Macpherson.

“What we’re seeing is just a growth in division, and it’s being fuelled by what they’re getting served on social media.

“They’re the ones that are fuelling divisiveness; they’re the ones that are fuelling hate; they’re the ones that are encouraging all of this.”
