After a week of fierce competition between the chonkiest bears in Alaska’s Katmai National Park and Preserve, Backpack has been crowned Fat Bear Week champion.
The non-profit running the long-standing contest announced that the bear, known for his peaceful nature, had won by more than 100,000 votes, just over 50 per cent of the poll, giving him a close win over Bear 910.
