French tourist cleared of death charge after Hyde Park crash

A judge has lashed police for accusing a French tourist of killing someone when he crashed into Sydney’s Hyde Park fountain, telling a court there was “not a scintilla of evidence”. Eizeur Kouki was cleared of one charge of negligent driving occasioning death. He was fined and convicted for negligent driving, not reversing safely and driving without a NSW license.
