Former gangland lawyer charged over kidnapping plot | 7NEWS
Former gangland solicitor Sylvarn Singh, 27, has been charged with six offences over allegedly masterminding a kidnapping attempt in Pemulwuy and a violent home invasion in Ermington in February 2025. Police allege Singh used encrypted messaging app Signal to direct the crimes, which included an attempted abduction involving armed men and a masked break-in where a teenager and man were assaulted. Singh, who narrowly survived a gangland shooting in May 2024 linked to the Alameddine crime family, has been remanded in custody after a judge deemed him an unacceptable risk to the community.
