Former child refugee wins north London by-election

News24 Contributor Samara Gill discusses Labour’s win in the seat of Holborn and St Pancras, where a former Somali refugee was elected.

“I feel like the Labour Party was so smart with how they played this election, with that former asylum seeker winning,” Ms Gill told News 24 host Andrew Bolt.

“As per usual, the left is better at tactical voting.

“They’re much better at saying, okay, let’s get a Labour person in, if it’s going to be Greens or Labour.”
