First international flights take off from new Western Sydney Airport

Western Sydney International Airport is opening its doors to the rest of the world today.

The first international flight will make the journey from Auckland landing around 8am this morning.

Then, an hour later, a return journey will take off back to New Zealand, completing an inaugural cycle of international arrivals and departures, the first of many to come.
