‘Extremely rare occurrence’: Tennis Kenya apologises for wildcard player
A 21-year-old tennis player was ushered into the main draw of a professional tournament in Kenya as a ‘wildcard’ player.
But tournament organisers have since admitted it was an error, after her performance and loss on the court raised eyebrows.
She lost 6-0 6-0 to Germany’s Lorena Schaedel, winning three points the entire match.
