Explosive drone shuts German airport | UN says civilians must be protected after Russia strikes Kyiv
German authorities say an explosive laden drone found near a Ukrainian cargo plane at one of Europe’s biggest freight airports was likely part of a ‘hybrid attack’.
A short time after the drone was discovered at Leipzig-Halle airport an unidentified aerial object, possibly another drone, hit a cargo plane in the air nearby.
At least 22 people have been killed in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv in a wave of Russian strikes.
