Malaysia and Indonesia have banned Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok amid concerns it’s being used to create non-consensual sexualised images of women and children. The UK communications regulator Ofcom has launched an investigation into X, with British Technology Secretary Liz Kendall announcing that deepfake and non-consensual images will be made illegal in the UK. If found guilty, X faces fines of up to 10% of its global revenue and potential platform ban in Britain.
