A 26-year-old driver survived a collision with a train at Ascot Park railway crossing after his Mitsubishi SUV was struck and dragged down the tracks. CCTV footage shows the vehicle entering the intersection on the wrong side of the road before being hit by the oncoming train, with the car demolished and two wheels ripped off. The driver escaped with only a broken arm and non-life-threatening injuries, while the crash shut down Seaford and Flinders rail lines until lunchtime.
