Driver flees after BMW ripped in half | 7NEWS
A BMW was torn in half and burst into flames after crashing into a power pole on the Hume Highway in Villawood at 9:30pm. The 24-year-old driver fled the scene on foot despite suffering burns and broken bones, and was later taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. Police are investigating whether the vehicle was street racing before the crash, with debris scattered 200 metres and one half of the car hitting an oncoming hatchback.
