Driver accused of running over teenage e-bike rider | 7NEWS

A 39-year-old driver, David Wittig, has faced court charged with negligent and furious driving causing bodily harm after allegedly running over a 15-year-old e-bike rider at North Curl Curl on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Police claim the incident followed an argument between Wittig and a group of teenagers on e-bikes, during which words were exchanged and water bottles thrown, before the car was blocked at an intersection where the teen was run over. Wittig remains on bail and is banned from driving until his next court appearance in June, while the victim has since recovered from serious leg injuries.
