A clip from a TV show starring John Krasinski has gone viral, with fans claiming it eerily foreshadows the US operation to capture Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro.
In the scene from season two of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, released in 2019, The Office star delivers a warning on the threat Venezuela poses to the US.
Students at the lecture given by Jack Ryan, played by Krasinski, suggest in a brainstorm that Russia, China or North Korea are the “most major threat on the world stage”.
Ryan then rattles off a list of reasons for why Venezuela is the main strategic risk to the US in a monologue that is partly true, and partly fictional.
