Development of Taroom Trough blocked by environment-focused federal government

Nationals Leader Matt Canavan calls out the Labor government’s environmental protection policies, saying they “keep putting up more hurdles” in the development of Queensland’s Taroom Trough.

“Good on the Liberal National Party government here in Queensland; David Crisafulli and Dale Last, the resources minister, are backing this 100%,” Mr Canavan told News24.

“They’ve put up bans or restrictions on providing support to fossil fuels.”
