Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s home raided by US federal agents
Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar has accused Donald Trump of “political intimidation” after US federal immigration agents raided her home in Washington, DC.
The US Justice Department says the search was part of a criminal investigation and President Trump says he has “nothing to do with it.”
Omar, 44, is a leftist Democrat and fierce critic of Trump, particularly his administration’s sweeping crackdown on immigration.
It follows a week of pointed attacks after the president suggested Iran could “take out” two Californian cities, with Omar urging Americans not to “normalise his constant pathetic, insane and completely unhinged behaviour”.
