Deadly Brazil tornados flatten town, injure hundreds

Multiple powerful tornados at once have torn through the southern Brazilian state of Parana.
Killing at least six people and causing extensive damage throughout the region.

“In the last 30 or 40 years, we haven’t seen a tornado with this force,” said Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior said on Saturday.
He announced a state of public emergency to facilitate rapid response and reconstruction efforts.
Authorities said 437 people were treated for injuries and about 1,000 were displaced.
