Crazy crash leaves car wedged in the side of a bus | 9 News Australia
Incredible CCTV footage has captured the terrifying moment a Toyota went airborne and crashed directly into the side of a city transit bus at a busy intersection in Rocklea, Brisbane.
The footage shows the blue hatch speeding through an intersection before hitting a raised concrete traffic island. The impact catapults the vehicle into the air, causing it to slam violently into the side of a passing bus.
Reporting live from the scene for Nine Network’s Today show, Queensland reporter Andrea Crothers provided full details on the dramatic incident highlighting the shocking visuals that have left viewers stunned worldwide.
Remarkably, despite the devastating visual impact, no one was seriously injured or killed in the collision. The council bus was out of service at the time and returning to the depot, meaning no passengers were on board. The bus driver walked away completely unscathed. The female driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital suffering from shock but escaped major physical injury.
