A humanoid robot has shattered Usain Bolt’s legendary 100-meter sprint world record at the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.

Clocking in at an astounding 9.39 seconds the robot beat Bolt’s 2009 benchmark of 9.58 seconds during the opening preliminary heats. The historic sprint kicked off a massive five-day showcase featuring over 2,000 droids, 666 teams, and 16 countries competing across 51 events ranging from 7-on-7 soccer to industrial workplace challenges.
