China mouths ‘a lot of platitudes’ to try and settle Iran war

Lowy Institute Senior Fellow for East Asia Richard McGregor says China would like Iran to “settle” its conflict with the US.

Mr McGregor told Sky News Australia that China doesn’t have a “great deal of influence” on the conflict in the Middle East.

“They mouth a lot of platitudes, they certainly want it to finish.”
